8BitDo Ultimate 2, Ultimate 3 and Pro 3 on PC
Many PC games only understand the Xbox controller. With OpenController open, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2, Ultimate 3 and Pro 3 show up in your games as an Xbox 360 controller with their own player number, and the original is hidden so the game doesn't see the same controller twice.

OpenController runs on a computer. Open this page there to get the right download.
What works
Extra buttons: L4, R4, PL, PR in D-input mode
Aim by moving it: in D-input mode
Light bar: no · Touchpad as buttons: no
In Xbox mode, the default, the extra buttons do not work. Turn the controller on while holding B to use D-input mode, where they and motion aiming work.
How to set it up
- 1Download OpenController and open it. On Windows, its Requirements page installs the free drivers it needs, when you click.
- 2Connect the controller by cable, Bluetooth or its receiver. It shows up in OpenController's window, drawn in its own shape.
- 3Click it to set what each extra button does: an Xbox button, a key or a recorded macro, with a profile per game if you want.
- 4To aim by moving the controller, turn it on under Motion: always, while aiming, or while holding a button.
- 5Open your game and play. It sees an Xbox 360 controller.
